What we collect, why, and how you stay in control.
Draft for the site owner: this page is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Review it, fill in the contact address in includes/config.php, and remove this note before you publish.
What we collect
- Newsletter signup: your email address and, if you give it, your first name. You provide these when you fill in the form on this site.
- Blog: the blog at /blog runs on WordPress and may set cookies or collect details if you leave a comment. Anything collected there is covered by the settings of that blog.
- Basic server logs: our hosting provider may record technical details such as IP address and browser type when you visit.
Why we collect it
We use your email address only to send the HSA monthly digest and occasional notes about HSA sessions. We do not sell your details or use them for unrelated advertising.
Who handles it
- Kit (kit.com) stores the subscriber list and sends the emails on our behalf.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, which means your browser contacts Google's servers when a page loads.
- Meetup runs session RSVPs under its own privacy policy. We do not add Meetup members to the newsletter unless they sign up here.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you.
- Withdraw your consent whenever you like. We will stop emailing you.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it from our list.
